2.0 .- TYPES OF POKER GAMES (Rules)

2.1 .- Sit and go:

A Sit & Go (SNG) is usually a single table tournament with a start time indefinite. When you register a predetermined number of people, begins. This amount is mandated by the venue and the type of game. Most rooms have tables of 9 or 10 persons unless Stud variants that are typically for 8 players.

Although also available SNG Multi-table (multiple tables), but we'd be talking about Multi-Table Tournaments. The entrance to this type of competition is very diverse, there Sit and go from $ 1 to hundreds of dollars, each player pays their entry and get a certain amount of chips, the prize is usually divided among the players that occupy the first 3 positions. The Sit and Go is not possible repurchase all pay the same entry and start with the same amount of chips, if your chips are finished you will be out of the game.

This game format has several advantages: the ability to play a tournament without us it takes hours, the opportunity to hone our skills in short-handed (6 or fewer people involved) and late tournament (final stage of a tournament), plus the thrill of playing in a tournament with little risk because the small amounts involved.

2.2 .- Multi-Table Tournaments:

In most websites, you can participate in multi-table tournament, as they are known. As the name suggests, these tournaments are not limited to one table often have no restrictions, and in some cases establishing a maximum number of players. The attraction between the lines of this format is huge potential rewards for a small outlay. The drawback is the large number of enrollees that such a prize involved. A typical MTT could be:

Registration: $ 20 + $ 2
Maximum players: 500

The total award including the total of each player paid registrations. Excluding the 42 commission of the site. If we fill the quota of 500 players in the example above, the total award amount to $ 10,000. Lots of money ... if you can get.

The fee structure would then be:

The 1st position 30%
2nd position 20%
The 3rd position 15% ...
... and so on until the 40th or 50th position.

The winner will take about $ 3,000, 136 times the $ 22 spent, obviously it attracts attention. The remaining 450 players below the 50th position are nothing small group including the unfortunate "bubble" and are referred to those who have lost very few positions to join the pay structure, a shame but somebody is always in that position. That is, we have finished 51st or any other place under the award positions, we will get nothing. Beyond this, the next 20 or 30 little more than recover the registration paid.

These tournaments will find him with tickets from a dollar to hundreds of dollars, clear what will change in each story will be a prize to be divided up. In some multi-table tournaments if you lose your chips in the first hour can make a buy-back and stay in the tournament, in multi-table tournaments with prizes such rules if they increase further in the tournament information is going to include that is a tournament Rebuy and add on.

Rebuy: Usually during the first hour, if your chips are finished you can re-enter the tournament by a re-buy chips for the same input value.

Add on: the end of the rebuy when all players have one last chance to raise their cards to buy tickets more for the same value as they did at first.

2.3 .- Cash Game:

Cash games, also known as ring games are just individual tables where poker is played for real cash money. Normally the game is fixed and the size of the game is determined by the value of the blinds or antes, and the levels of the blinds and antes are constant throughout the game. Also, the cash games have no specific beginning or end. They started when two players sit at a table and end table when the last player to retire, but as the game unfolds, new players can join and anyone who wants to can retire.

Choose a table is a key issue when playing a cash game, as there are games of different shapes and sizes, from "hand to hand" up to ten players, or from micro-limits to blinds of $ 1000. There are games split limit, pot limit and no limit and, of course, you can play any form of poker cash games images.

Cash games have a unique advantage: unlimited time to act. Making the best when it is the right time and be able to leave when things are wrong is the key to make money in cash games.
